Project Manager

Job Requirement

· PMP Certification

· 3+ years of experience with complex, multi-national application implementations

· 5+ years of experience in Technology/IT as a project manager

 

Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for the direction and coordination of teams to implement and execute key milestones in order to successfully launch global products by creating and managing project timelines and identifying project dependencies. This individual will liaises with Development, Quality Assurance and end users on the functional requirements definition, design, implementation and maintenance of software systems and will often manage complex projects that require input from cross functions.

 

Detailed Responsibilities

Define and drive multiple concurrent project tasks and milestones within necessary timing

Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion as the projectevolves.

Elevate risks to meet product launches and secure senior management approval to move forward

Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential challenges, and devise contingency plans

Maintain constant communication with other Project Management Team Members

Have a thorough understanding of the process and exhibit flexibility and creativity to fine tune timelines to project needs

Regularly publish project timelines and key summaries to all stakeholders

Coordinate the efforts of corporate and regional cross-functional team members by providing the team direction and support in order to maintain the project

Lead global cross-functional team meetings and conduct timely follow-ups to track project deliverables from team

Set and continually manage project expectations and roles throughout project life cycle

Work with Project Management team to coordinate priorities for Regional teams, Creative Services, Global Rebranding Initiative, and Quality among other departments.

 

Qualifications

 

Skills:

 

Required

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications

Knowledge of Project and Software Development Life Cycle Methodologies

Ability to identify system impact for small and large scale initiatives

Experience with global implementations of applications

Independent follow-through ability (attention to detail, monitoring and controlling)

 

Preferred

Primavera Project Management and Primavera P6 or Team Foundation Server

Proficiency with MS Project/Visio/etc…

Effective public speaking skills

Ability to create and present key requirements artifacts including but not limited to: Scope Document, Business Requirements Document, Detailed Specification of Key Business Rules, Use Cases, Wire Frames, Activity Diagrams,  Business Process Mapping Diagrams and Documentation, Application Gap analysis

 

Experience:

 

Required

5 years of experience in Technology/IT

5 years direct project management experience with IT application and/or infrastructure

3+ years of experience with complex, multi-national application implementations

 

Preferred

1-2 years working within a Program/Project Management Office
